Tools, an introduction

Every hobby has its own tools of its trade. In the case op modelrailroading these tools are literally tools, hardware. They have the name to be expensive. I won't deny that you will need some amount investment. True. However, kit building does not require a huge investment in tools. You do need a basic equipment however and on these pages I'll introduce most of them. Most tools are really affordable and you can purchase them gradually as the need arises. Your first build will cost most and gradually you find your room stuffed with all kinds of things. The real expensive tooling usally needs a second thought: are you really going to use it frequently, or can arrange something with a friend. I hope these pages will help you making this decision.
